Title
Pronoms accentués and exceptional verbs using the preposition à - toiCreator
Roger House and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL)Description
There are certain verb phrases using
à where pronoms accentués are used instead of indirect object pronouns (me, te, lui, nous, vous, leur). These are: penser à; s'adresser à; s'habituer à; s'intéresser à, se fier à; tenir à; rêver à; fair attention à; étre à; songer à, etc.. With these exceptional verbs we use
verb + à + pronom accentué.
In this audio clip you hear an example of this: Je suis à toi. (I am yours.)
