This video is the first video in a three part series on a case study of teaching in a multiage primary classroom in Oyster River, BC. It represents one teacher's approach to organizing and managing teaching and learning in such a setting. It is not meant to be prescriptive but is intended to provide a basis for reflection and analysis on the process of teaching. In this case study Oyster River Elementary School in the Campbell River School District on Vancouver Island in British Columbia is observed in how the teacher, Cheryl MacDonald, organizes and manages the learning environment for her class using literature for problem solving in mathematics in a class ranging from age from 6 - 9.Learning Design
